Nabil Antaki

Nabil Antaki is a highly experienced arbitrator, mediator and counsel to public and private Canadian and international businesses and law firms on matters of domestic and international business law and practices. He has extensive alternative dispute resolution experience, particularly as an arbitrator, and founded the Quebec National and International Commercial Arbitration Centre, where he served as President, General Counsel and Chair of its Case Administration and Experts’ Councils from 1986 to 2001.
 
He is Emeritus Professor (Laval University, Quebec, Canada); Visiting Professor (Montreal University, Montreal, Canada), Visiting Professor on an annual basis to Aix-en-Provence (France) and St-Joseph (Lebanon) Universities, where his teaching includes ADR and arbitration, international commercial transactions, corporate law, securities and corporate finance, international investments, and franchising and distributorships.

Educated in Syria, Lebanon and France, Professor Antaki was a member of the Damascus Syria bar from 1964 to 1981, and was admitted to the Québec Bar in1976. Professor Antaki is fluent in  French, English and Arabic.
